Please visit: www.givology.org

We've all been working extremely hard at Givology! With a redesigned site, new field partners, additional students and projects to sponsor, new board members to offer support, and tons of new content (photojournals, project and student updates, multimedia, giving teams, etc.), we've started 2009 very strongly. Our target is $20,000 this year!

Please help us reach this goal by visiting our site and supporting us!

Happy New Chinese Year
Some states it is the year of 4707 but to Chinese the number should be >5000. Though 5000 may be a large number to human scale, comparing to the evolution of natural history, it's just a blimp, as our famous poet writes:

Time flies so fast,
Like the famed white race horse
Crosses the opening crack of my door.
It's gone when you look for it.

Man appears on earth about half a million years and earth formed about 4.54 billions of years ago. So 5000 years count nearly a nanosecond 10^-9. However, the tumultuous unfolding of human drama as I read Herodotus everyday (in bathroom) daily about 2500 years ago strikes me as a distant pass. Even in our own life span, it feels like a long-gone era of early days. While history takes no notice of individual life, as we are part of collective act, one year can make significant difference in one's life.

Yup, one year, let's welcome it with anticipation!
